Navratna PSU stock zooms post-major order win—Have it in portfolio?

BEL Share Price: Bharat Electronics (BEL) shares rose on Thursday's trading session, after the company received order worth Rs 633 crore from Cochin Shipyard Limited. As of 4 pm, the stock of the BEl was trading at Rs 418.40, up 0.17 per cent on the NSE.

"Navratna Defence Public Sector Undertaking, Bharat Electronics Limited (BEL), has received order valued at Rs. 633 Crore (excluding taxes) from Cochin Shipyard Limited," the official release read.

As per the release, the order is for the supply of items required for various sensors, weapon equipment, fire control system and communication equipment supplied by BEL.

The order follows a series of orders worth Rs 592 crore and Rs 1,092 crore that the PSU received since the last disclosure on September 29, 2025.

The Rs 592 crore order received included tank subsystems and overhauling, communication equipment, combat management system, ship data network, train collision avoidance system (Kavach), laser dazzler, jammers, upgrades, etc.

While the other order included EW system upgrade, defence network upgrade, tank sub systems, TR modules, communication equipment, EVM, spares, services, etc.

The company's stock was seen trading near its 52-week high of Rs 436 in today's trading session. The company's market capitalisation stands at Rs 306,000 crore.

BEL is yet to release its financial results for the second quarter of FY26. The company said in its exchange filing that it will release its financial results for Q2FY26 on October 31.
