NCC bags ₹2,090 crore order for Barnar Reservoir project in BiharAccording to the company’s filing with the exchanges, the project will be executed over a 30-month construction period, followed by a 60-month defect liability period.By CNBCTV18.com September 15, 2025, 5:34:03 PM IST (Published)1 Min ReadInfrastructure company NCC Ltd on Monday said it has received a Letter of Acceptance from the Water Resources Department, Bihar, for the construction of the Barnar Reservoir Scheme in Jamui district.

The contract, valued at about ₹2,090.5 crore (excluding GST), covers the construction of the reservoir, dam structures, irrigation channels, and other associated works.

According to the company’s filing with the exchanges, the project will be executed over a 30-month construction period, followed by a 60-month defect liability period.

This win follows a string of significant contracts the Hyderabad-based company has secured in recent months. In June, NCC announced new orders worth ₹1,690.5 crore for its building division, awarded by state government agencies and a private firm.

Around the same time, it bagged a ₹2,269 crore order from the Mumbai Metropolitan Region Development Authority (MMRDA) for work related to Metro Line 6, including rolling stock, signalling systems, telecom, and depot machinery.

Despite its strong order inflows, the company’s financial performance in the June quarter reflected some pressure. For Q1FY26, NCC reported an 8.4% year-on-year drop in net profit at ₹192.1 crore, while revenue from operations fell 6.3% to ₹5,179 crore.Continue ReadingCheck out our in-depth Market Coverage, Business News & get real-time Stock Market Updates on CNBC-TV18.
