The Nifty PSU Index has risen 5% in the last five trade sessions and has reported its best weekly performance in the last three months. All 12 stocks ended the week with gains, with Bank of Maharashtra, Indian Bank and Indian Overseas Bank seeing double-digit gains. Here's a look at the top performers:Bank of Maharashtra | The stock gained all five days this week to end with a weekly gain of over 12%. The last instance of the lender gaining in double digits in a week was back in November 2024, when it had gained 13%. Indian Bank | The stock is up 3% on Friday and gained in four out of the five sessions this week. For the week, the stock ended 10.5% higher. The lender also reported a strong business update for the third quarter on Thursday, beating the management's guidance for the full year on the advances and deposits front. The stock has also snapped a four-week losing streak after its best week since March 2025, when it gained 12%.Punjab and Sind Bank | Shares of Punjab & Sind Bank gained for the fourth straight day on Friday, after its business update turned out to be in-line with expectations. Shares were up 9% for the week, marking their best weekly performance since May 2025.Indian Overseas Bank | The lender where government stake is in excess of 90%, snapped a five-week losing streak. The stock gained 9.8% for the week, marking their best weekly performance since April 2024. Shares ended higher for the fourth day in a row on Friday.Bank Of India | The state-run lender saw its stock gain over 6.5% this week, having gained every single session of the five-day week. The stock has declined in three out of the last five weeks. This was also the best week for the stock in over two months.UCO Bank | UCO Bank shares gained 6.5% for the week. The lender also reported its quarterly business update on Friday.
