NTPC Green Energy Limited (NGEL), a subsidiary of NTPC Limited, informed exchanges that it has signed a memorandum of understanding with Nxtra Data Limited to explore development of renewable energy projects.
The MoU, signed on Tuesday March 24, 2026 at NTPC Bhawan in New Delhi, aims to identify business opportunities for supplying round-the-clock renewable energy to Nxtra’s data centres across India for captive consumption.
The agreement was signed by Sarit Maheshwari, CEO (NGEL & NTPC REL), and Ashish Arora, CEO of Nxtra Data Limited.
The state-owned firm had reported a net profit of ₹17.5 crore for the third quarter, compared with ₹65.6 crore in the same quarter last year, marking a 73% year-on-year decline
The company's revenue for the quarter stood at ₹653.3 crore, up 29.4% from ₹505 crore reported in the corresponding period of the previous year.

EBITDA increased 33.8% year-on-year to ₹567 crore from ₹424 crore. EBITDA margin for the quarter improved to 86.8% from 84% in the year-ago period.
NTPC Green Energy Ltd shares closed at ₹95.50, down ₹1.38 or 1.42%, at NSE on March 24.
NTPC Green Energy Ltd, an umbrella company for green business initiatives of NTPC, undertakes projects through organic and inorganic routes and aims to be the flag-bearer of NTPC's green energy journey to achieve the ambitious target of 60 gigawatt (GW) by FY32.
