“We received multiple complaints that around 350 Ola Electric stores were operating in the state without proper permission and license,” the Maharashtra State Transport Commissioner told CNBC-TV18.

Action has already been taken against some of these stores, the official confirmed. The department has now directed Ola to apply for the necessary licences and permissions required to continue operations.

“We have given Ola time to apply for a proper license and required permission to operate these stores,” the commissioner added.

Operations at these stores will only be permitted once the company secures the relevant approvals from the department. Authorities are expecting a formal report and response from Ola Electric by the end of the day.
