The 5.5-year deal, signed on July 10, will see Petronet provide regasification services for approximately 25.6 TBTUs of liquefied natural gas (LNG) annually at its Dahej terminal in Gujarat. The supply will commence between May and July 2026, and continue through to December 31, 2031.

The agreement allows for an additional 20% revenue upside over the contract duration. The regasified LNG will be used primarily in Deepak Fertilisers’ manufacturing units at Taloja.

According to Petronet, the deal strengthens its long-term business visibility. In FY25, the company handled around 18 million metric tonnes per annum (MMTPA) of LNG across its two terminals at Dahej and Kochi, with Dahej being among the busiest regas terminals globally.
