Piyush Goyal to visit Israel for high-level trade and business talks on November 20

Union Minister of Commerce & Industry, Piyush Goyal, will visit Israel from 20–22 November 2025, at the invitation of Israel’s Minister of Economy and Industry, Mr Nir Barkat. The visit emphasises the deepening relationship between India and Israel in business and technology and aims to improve cooperation in trade, technology, innovation, and investment.

He will be accompanied by a 60-member business delegation, maintained by CII, FICCI, Assocham, and Start-up India.

According to the official statement, during this visit, Piyush Goyal will meet senior leaders of Israel, including Mr Nir Barkat and other senior ministers. Discussions are scheduled to focus on promoting trade and investment, exploring collaboration in sectors like agriculture, water, defence, emerging technologies, life sciences, infrastructure, advanced manufacturing, and start-ups. The progress of the proposed India–Israel Free Trade Agreement (FTA) will also be reviewed.

Piyush Goyal will take part in the India–Israel Business Forum, which will involve leading business representatives from both countries. The forum will feature plenary sessions, technical discussions, and structured B2B meetings to encourage commercial partnerships, investment opportunities, and joint ventures in priority sectors. The fourth high-level CEOs Forum will also be held with top CEOs from both countries.

The Minister will meet leaders of major companies in Israel in areas such as agriculture, water management, cyber security, smart mobility, and infrastructure. He will also engage with investors and explore probable business collaborations.

The programme includes visits to Israel’s innovation hubs and institutions to understand the country’s technological ecosystem. The visit is expected to fortify the long-standing India–Israel relationship, boost economic ties, promote business collaborations, strengthen technology exchange, and create new opportunities for cooperation in key sectors of mutual interest, including trade, investment, agriculture, and emerging technologies.
