Probe into Sammaan Capital’s erstwhile promoters, Delhi Police files fresh FIR

The Supreme Court on Wednesday ordered a fresh investigation against Sammaan Capital's erstwhile promoters, after the Delhi Police Economic Offences Wing (EOW) registered a fresh FIR in a matter involving suspected financial irregularities. The top court directed the CBI to collect documents from the Corporate Affairs Ministry, capital market regulator SEBI and the Enforcement Directorate (ED) so that registration of FIR can be considered.
Earlier, the court had criticised the CBI, SEBI and other agencies for a "lenient" and "friendly approach" in their investigations.
