Protean eGov Technologies Ltd on Monday said it has bagged a work order worth about ₹1,160 crore from the Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI), Government of India.
The mandate involves serving as the official service provider for establishing and running district-level Aadhaar Seva Kendras (ASKs) across 188 districts. These centres will provide enrolment, updates, and other Aadhaar-related services through both appointment-based and walk-in modes.
The contract will run for six years and is structured as an outsourcing delivery of public service project
UIDAI, which manages India’s Aadhaar infrastructure, has been expanding access to its services through district-level centres to cater to growing demand for updates, corrections, and new enrolments, particularly in semi-urban and rural areas.

The company clarified that this contract is not linked to any related-party transactions and has been awarded through domestic channels.
Ahead of the announcement, shares of Protean eGov closed at ₹818.30, down 3.85% on the NSE.
