Shares of Reliance Industries Ltd ended at ₹1,398.20, down by ₹31.95, or 2.23%, on the BSE today, February 25.By Jomy Jos Pullokaran February 25, 2026, 8:20:46 PM IST (Updated)1 Min ReadBillionaire Mukesh Ambani-led Reliance Industries Ltd on Wednesday (February 25) announced that Reliance Enterprise Intelligence Ltd (REIL), previously a step-down wholly-owned subsidiary, has become a step-down subsidiary of the company following a share allotment.
Reliance Enterprise Intelligence Ltd allotted 85.32 crore equity shares of face value ₹10 each. Of these, 59.66 crore shares, aggregating ₹596.6 crore, were allotted to Reliance Intelligence Ltd, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Reliance Industries, while 25.66 crore shares, aggregating ₹256.6 crore, were allotted to Facebook Overseas, Inc, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Meta Platforms, Inc.

Post-allotment, Reliance Intelligence holds 70% of Reliance Enterprise Intelligence Ltd's equity, and Facebook holds 30%. The transaction between Reliance Enterprise Intelligence Ltd and Reliance Intelligence is a related party transaction conducted on an arm’s length basis, while the transaction with Facebook is not a related party transaction. None of the company’s promoters or promoter group entities have any interest in these transactions.
The company received intimation regarding the allotment on February 25, 2026, at 6.40 pm IST. All necessary approvals for the investment have been obtained.
Shares of Reliance Industries Ltd ended at ₹1,398.20, down by ₹31.95, or 2.23%, on the BSE.
