A small-cap pharmaceutical company has announced its Q2 FY26 results for the quarter and half-year ended September 30, 2025.
Along with quarterly results, the pharma company has announced the first interim dividend of 1,400 per cent for its shareholders for the financial year 2025–26.
The company has also announced the record date and the payment date for the dividend. The company under discussion is Ajanta Pharma.
The company’s Board of Directors has approved the first interim dividend of Rs 28 per share on the face value of Rs 2 each, which translates to 1400 per cent dividend payout amounting to a total payout of around Rs 350 crore.
The company has fixed Monday, 10th November 2025, as the record date for payment of the 1st interim dividend. Dividend will be paid on or after 20th November 2025.
For the second quarter of FY26, revenue from operations increased 14 per cent to Rs 1,354 crore, compared with Rs 1,187 crore in the same period last year. EBITDA stood at Rs 328 crore, up 5 per cent year-on-year, with a margin of 24 per cent. Profit after tax (PAT) rose 20 per cent to Rs 260 crore, against Rs 216 crore in Q2 FY25.
The company recorded a mark-to-market foreign exchange loss of Rs 41 crore during the quarter. Excluding this impact, EBITDA was Rs 369 crore, up 9 per cent, with a margin of 27 per cent, while PAT grew 23 per cent, with a margin of 22 per cent.
Ajanta Pharma is part of the BSE 500 index and has a market capitalisation of Rs 31,071.49 crore. Over the last five years, the stock has gained 131.69 per cent, showing consistent long-term growth.
Currently, the stock is trading Rs 2500 levels. The share price has moved between a 52-week high of Rs 3,147.90 and a low of Rs 2,022.05.
The company has maintained a steady dividend track record, declaring Rs 28 per share on November 6, 2024, Rs 26 per share on February 8, 2024, and Rs 10 and Rs 15 per share on August 4, 2023.
Ajanta Pharma has also issued bonus shares in a 1:2 ratio twice on June 22, 2022, and once earlier on September 17, 2013.
