Samsung India launches 'Solve for Tomorrow 2025' competition for students, 4 teams to win Rs 1-crore grant

Samsung India has launched the fourth edition of the 'Solve for Tomorrow' competition for students within the age group of 14-22 years of age. The 2025 edition of the competition will include an incubation programme for the top four winning teams who will receive a grant of Rs 1 crore.

Additionally, the top 20 teams will win Rs 20 lakh, while the top 40 teams will win Rs 8 lakh. Applications will be accepted from April 29 to June 30. The programme, which will span for six months, will see students submitting their tech ideas in groups or as individuals. The key themes set for the competition this year are as follows:

The top 20 teams will be selected after this phase, with five teams from each theme advancing to the grand finale. They will participate in a Prototyping Day, Pitch Presentation, Investor Meet, and Awards Ceremony.

"The initiative will provide students with hands-on prototyping along with 82,000 hours of training and mentorship support to empower participants," the firm said.

Samsung further said that the Rs 1 crore grant to the top four winning teams will support the incubation of their projects, along with hands-on prototyping, investor connects, and expert mentorship from Samsung leaders and IIT Delhi faculty.

The competition, which is Samsung India's flagship Corporate Social Responsibility initiative, aims to offer more than 82,000 hours of extensive training in design thinking, hands-on prototyping, go-to-market strategies, and business planning. Teams selected as the finalists will benefit from specialized training and mentorship provided by Samsung, IIT Delhi, and industry professionals in the final phase of the competition, the tech firm said.
