GIFT Nifty trades lower, trading at a discount of over 130 points from Nifty Futures. Wednesday’s close indicates a gap-down start for the Indian market
After market closing hours on Wednesday, April 22, International Business Machines Corp. (IBM), sometimes referred to as “big blue,” reported software unit sales that matched analyst estimates. However, during extended trading, the price dropped 7% since analysts anticipated a stronger performance.
Strong advances in IT companies helped Japan’s Nikkei 225 to an all-time intraday high of 60,013.98. As it gained 1.75%, South Korea’s Kospi likewise reached an all-time intraday high of 6,538.72.
Over the past three years, Vedanta’s stock has experienced significant growth. Over the next six years, the stock has increased by more than 10 times from its 2020 delisting price of ₹87.
Some of the stocks to watch out for today include Trent, Tata Comm, Infosys, SBI Life, LTTS.

Due to severe weakness in the IT sector, the Nifty ended its three-session winning streak on Wednesday. After starting the session on a negative note, the index continued to be under pressure.
