CESC reported a 7.2% year-on-year decline in Q4 net profit to ₹385 crore, even as revenue rose 14.5% to ₹3,877 crore.

EBITDA and margins fell short of Bloomberg estimates, coming in at ₹812 crore and 20.94%, respectively.

 

Prism Johnson announced their Q4 results. The company made a net profit of ₹121 crore, compared to a loss of ₹30.50 crore (YoY). The shares of Cochin Shipyard rose by over 4.8% on Thursday. The company announced its Q4 results on the day. In the quarterly results, the company’s net profit rose by 10.8% from last year to ₹287 crore. Revenue for the quarter also jumped by 37% from last year to ₹1,758 crore.

The shares of Tube Investment are in focus, as the company announced its Q4 results. The company’s net profit rose to ₹ 814 crore Vs ₹248 crore (YoY).  The company’s revenue stood at ₹1,957 crore, behind  ₹1,962 crore (YoY). The margin rose to 11.63%, compared to 11.05% (YoY).

SBI Card and Apollo HealthCo have teamed up to launch a new co-branded credit card focused on healthcare.

SBI Cards and Payment Services is trading 0.66% higher at ₹907.15 as of now, and Apollo Hospitals Enterprise is up nearly 2% at ₹7026.

 

ITC Hotels reported a 20.5% year-on-year rise in net profit to ₹259 crore for Q4. Revenue grew 4.5% to ₹1,061 crore, while EBITDA increased 8.4% to ₹413 crore.

Margins also improved to 38.9% from 37.5% in the same period last year.

South Indian Bank posted its Q4 results with a 19% year-on-year rise in net profit to ₹342.2 crore. Net interest income (NII) dipped slightly by 0.7% to ₹868.3 crore.

Asset quality improved, with gross NPA declining to 3.20% from 4.30% and net NPA reducing to 0.92% from 1.25% sequentially.

The shares of Mazgaon Dock are in green on Thursday. The shipbuilding company’s stocks rose by over 3.5%. This marks the third consecutive day of gains in company shares. At 11:59 IST, the company shares are trading with gains of ₹113.80 or 3.70%, taking the overall value of the company’s shares to ₹3,192.00.

Muthoot Finance is trading nearly 7% lower at ₹2,109.50, despite posting strong Q4 results.

Ahead of their results, the Cochin Shipyard shares are trading with gains of as much as 7% on Thursday, May 15, ahead of the defence PSU’s March quarter earnings. The stock is extending its gaining streak for the fifth day running.

The PSU shipbuilder shares are up 26% in 5 sessions ahead of earnings.

The shares of JBM Auto are in focus. The company shares rose to ₹707.00, thanks to a rise of ₹23.10 or 3.38%.

The company previously said that it is aiming to achieve between ₹6,000 crore and ₹6,500 crore in revenue for 2025-26 (FY26), backed by strong demand in the electric mobility segment, a robust order book, and strategic partnerships such as its recent alliance with Hitachi.

While the Nifty Smallcap index is up 0.48%, several stocks are bucking the trend. The top five losers on the index include Piramal Pharma, down 3.32%, followed by Brigade Enterprises (2.5%), CESC (2.17%), Sagility India (1.87%), and PG Electroplast (1.57%).

The shares of Karnataka Bank are under pressure after the company announced its Q4 results. The company shares dipped by a total of over 4%.

In its Q4 results, the private sector lender Karnataka Bank Ltd on Wednesday (May 14) reported an 8% year-on-year (YoY) dip in net profit at ₹252.4 crore for the fourth quarter that ended March 31, 2025, against ₹274.2 crore in Q4FY24.

Berger Paints expects sequential revenue growth with margins likely to remain in the 16–17% range. MD & CEO Abhijit Roy said the ongoing competitive pressure is temporary and the company aims to retain its current market share.

He also highlighted plans to expand distribution in underpenetrated urban areas.

The stock is currently up nearly 2%, trading at ₹563.65.

Shares of Wendt (India) Ltd., the producer of various products for the diamond processing industry, fell over 17% on Thursday, May 15, after its foreign promoter, WENDT GmbH, announced its intentions to sell its entire stake in the company through an Offer For Sale (OFS) process.

The shares of Hitachi Energy are under pressure, falling by over 4%. The company’s profit rose to ₹184 crore for the three months ended March 31, from ₹113.7 crore a year earlier. Revenue grew 11.1% to ₹1,883.7 crore, driven by solid order execution in key segments like transmission, renewables, and rail.
