Shares of Vodafone Idea Ltd., have declined as much as 10% in early trading on Tuesday, August 26, after having gained as much as 20% in the last six trading sessions, of which they gained in five.

Shares of Ola Electric Mobility Ltd. extended gains to as much as 56% on Tuesday, August 26, after the company announced that it has secured PLI certification for its Gen 3 Scooter portfolio.

The rupee weakened to 87.78 against the US dollar in early trade on Tuesday (August 26), slipping 22 paise after the United States confirmed its plan to impose an additional 25% tariff on Indian imports from August 27.

Shares of India’s largest drugmaker Sun Pharma Ltd. fell as much as 3% on Tuesday, August 26, after the stock was downgraded by brokerage firm BofA Securities.

The Nifty has given up all the gains of the August series with the 200-point fall on Tuesday. In order to end positively for the August series, the index will have to close above the 24,837 mark. With this fall, the Nifty is nearing its 20-Day Moving Average at 24,737.
