Effective April 1, the cost of aviation turbine fuel (ATF) for domestic scheduled flights has gone up in all metro areas; nevertheless, this increase is far less severe than the steep increase for non-scheduled carriers earlier in the day.

Although markets are starting to price out worst-case geopolitical concerns, Matt Orton, Chief Market Strategist at Raymond James Investment, cautions that uncertainty around a US-Iran deal and the reopening of the Strait of Hormuz could keep volatility high in the near future. He believes that the next two to three weeks would be crucial for guidance.
