Signal gear replacement work disrupts train services; Railways declares temporary changes in routes, timings

The Firozpur division of Indian Railways has announced temporary changes to train schedules due to a traffic block for the replacement of signal gears at Suranussi station.
The station lies between Jalandhar City and Amritsar, and the block will impact the operations of several trains on this route. Due to this, some trains will be rescheduled, regulated, short-terminated, or short-originated between July 10 and July 14, according to the railway officials.
The Katihar Amritsar Express train (15707) will be rescheduled by 180 minutes from Katihar Junction on July 12, 2025. Moreover, this train will be regulated by 25 minutes at Firozpur, resulting in a total delay of 205 minutes for the journey.
Similarly, The Amritsar Clone Express train, operating between Jaynagar and Amritsar on July 13, will be rescheduled by 60 minutes from Jaynagar and will experience a regulation delay of 30 minutes at Firozpur, leading to a total delay of 90 minutes.
Jan Nayak Express
In terms of short-terminations and short-originations, the Jan Nayak Express train (15211) that runs from Darbhanga Junction to Amritsar will be short-terminated at Jalandhar City on July 10.
Similarly, Amritsar Jansadharan Express (15531), which operates between Saharsa Junction and Amritsar, will be short-terminated at Ludhiana Junction on July 13.
In the reverse direction, the train (15532) that runs from Amritsar to Saharsa Junction will be short-originated from Ludhiana Junction on July 14.
According to the railways, the Ludhiana-Chheharta MEMU train (64551) will be short-terminated at Jalandhar City on July 14.
The corresponding return service train (64552) that operates from Chheharta to Ludhiana Junction, will be short-originated from Jalandhar City on the same day.
