Stock Market Opening Bell: Indian equity benchmarks began Tuesday’s session on a muted note, reflecting subdued global sentiment and the absence of major market-moving triggers.
The BSE Sensex opened 69 points higher, or 0.08 per cent, at 84,047, while the NSE Nifty50 inched up 14 points, or 0.05 per cent, to 25,777. Broader markets were mixed, with the Nifty MidCap index up 0.02 per cent and the Nifty SmallCap index slipping 0.09 per cent.
Among sectoral indices, Nifty Pharma led the gains with a 0.11 per cent rise, while Nifty Auto was the biggest laggard, down 0.46 per cent.
On the primary market front, the Groww (Billionbrains Garage Ventures) IPO opened for subscription today, while Lenskart Solutions’ public issue is set to close. The basis of allotment for Studds Accessories shares is expected to be finalized later in the day.
In the SME segment, Shreeji Global FMCG launched its IPO today, and Game Changers Texfab is scheduled to list on the BSE SME platform.
