Stock Market Opening Bell: Indian stock markets opened in the green on Tuesday, tracking positive sentiment on Dalal Street even as Asian peers remained subdued. Investors continued to weigh global cues around US trade negotiations and domestic Q2FY26 earnings to gauge market direction.

Broader markets also edged higher, with the Nifty MidCap index gaining 0.08 per cent and the Nifty SmallCap index up 0.36 per cent.
Sectorally, PSU banks led the charge, with the Nifty PSU Bank index climbing 1.2 per cent, extending its recent rally. In stock-specific action, JK Tyre surged nearly 5 per cent, while Bata India slipped 6 per cent in early trade.
Market participants are expected to stay watchful of global trade developments and ongoing corporate results for further direction.
