Stock Market Opening Bell: The BSE Sensex climbed to 82,641 and the NSE Nifty 50 hit 25,316 in early trade on Tuesday as optimism grew over a possible early India–US trade agreement. The Sensex had opened about 125 points higher at 82,506 before extending gains, while the Nifty also advanced from its opening to test the 25,316 mark.

All sectors traded in green after market opened. UltraTech Cement, BEL, Trent and Tata Motors were among the top gainers.

The gains followed a nearly seven-hour meeting between chief negotiators in New Delhi, where both nations agreed to accelerate efforts towards a “mutually beneficial” pact. The talks at Vanijya Bhawan were led by Brendan Lynch, assistant USTR for South and Central Asia, and Rajesh Agrawal, special secretary in India’s commerce department.
