Stock Market Opening Bell: Benchmark indices opened mixed on Tuesday as investors weighed global cues and a heavy IPO pipeline. The BSE Sensex slipped 12.6 points to 82,147.37 in early trade, while the Nifty50 gained 6.65 points to 25,209.

Auto stocks led the gains, with Maruti Suzuki and Mahindra & Mahindra among the top performers on the BSE. In contrast, Adani Ports and Sun Pharma were the biggest drags. On the NSE, Maruti, M&M and Eicher Motors topped the gainers’ list, while UltraTech Cement and Adani Ports weighed on the index.

Broader markets also edged higher. The Nifty SmallCap 100 index rose 0.13 per cent and the Nifty MidCap 100 index added 0.18 per cent. Among sectoral indices, only Nifty Auto (up 1.4 per cent) and IT (up 0.18 per cent) were in the green, while others traded lower.

In the primary market, IPO activity remained busy. In the mainboard segment, offerings of Anand Rathi Share & Stock Brokers, Seshaasai Technologies, Jaro Institute of Technology Management & Research, and Solarworld Energy Solutions opened for public subscription. Atlanta Electricals IPO and Ganesh Consumer Products IPO entered their second day, while Saatvik Green Energy IPO and GK Energy IPO were set to close for bidding. Euro Pratik Sales debuted on the exchanges.

In the SME segment, six fresh issues, including BharatRohan Airborne Innovations, Aptus Pharma, True Colors, Matrix Geo Solutions, NSB BPO Solutions and Ecoline Exim, opened for subscription. Solvex Edibles and Prime Cable Industries IPOs entered their second day, while Siddhi Cotspin closed for bidding.
