Stock Market Opening Bell: Sensex, Nifty open higher; Reliance, ICICI Bank, L&T among top gainers

Stock Market Opening Bell: Indian equity benchmarks opened on a positive note on Tuesday, extending their winning streak for the third consecutive session. The NSE Nifty50 opened with a gain of 7.65 points, or 0.03 per cent, at 25,085.30, while the BSE Sensex started at 80,010.83, up 93.83 points, or 0.11 per cent.

In early trade, the Sensex quoted at 81,932, rising 142 points, or 0.17 per cent, and the Nifty50 stood at 25,123, up 46 points, or 0.18 per cent.

Buying was seen across frontline counters such as Reliance Industries, ICICI Bank, L&T, HDFC Bank, ITC, and Infosys, lifting overall sentiment.

Among broader indices, the Nifty Midcap100 and Nifty Smallcap100 gained 0.19 per cent and 0.36 per cent, respectively. On the sectoral front, the Nifty Metal and IT indices were top performers, rising around 0.4 per cent each.
