The Supreme Court has permitted podcaster Ranveer Allahbadia to retrieve his passport to facilitate his travel abroad for work purposes. A bench comprising Justices Surya Kant and N Kotiswar Singh relaxed the previous conditions after both the Assam and Maharashtra governments confirmed that their investigation into Allahabadia's role in India's Got Latent case had been completed.
According to PTI, the bench directed Allahbadia to approach the Maharashtra Cyber Police Bureau to collect his passport.
The court also informed Senior Advocate Abhinav Chandrachud, representing Allahbadia, that during the next hearing it would consider his request to club all FIRs filed against the YouTuber into a single case.
On February 18, the Supreme Court granted Allahbadia protection from arrest in connection with multiple FIRs filed over his controversial remarks made during an episode of India's Got Latent. The court had also instructed him to submit his passport to the investigating officer at the Nodal Cyber Police Station, Thane.
Later, on March 3, Allahbadia was permitted to resume his popular podcast, The Ranveer Show, with the condition that its content must maintain "morality and decency" and be suitable for audiences of all ages. Initially, the court had restrained him from airing any new episodes to ensure no influence on the ongoing legal proceedings.

During an earlier hearing, the apex court had described some of Allahbadia’s comments as "vulgar," criticised him for having a "dirty mind," and said his words had "put the society to shame."
Alongside Allahbadia, several comedians and influencers have been named in the case registered in Assam, including Samay Raina (co-creator of India's Got Latent), Ashish Chanchlani, Jaspreet Singh, and Apoorva Makhija.
