JSW Hydro, a step-down subsidiary of JSW Energy, operates two hydro power projects in Himachal Pradesh with a combined capacity of 1391 MW. The company, citing the sector regulator, the Central Electricity Regulatory Commission’s tariff rules, had claimed that they were only required to supply 13% of power generated by its projects free of cost to the Himachal state government.
