Texmaco Rail & Engineering Ltd has secured a ₹219.18 crore contract from Mumbai Railway Vikas Corporation Ltd (MRVC) on Monday, February 16, for the design, supply, installation, testing and commissioning of signalling equipment in connection with the construction of a proposed suburban railway line under the Mumbai Urban Transport Project (MUTP-IIIA).
The scope of the contract includes comprehensive execution of signalling systems and related gear for the new Mumbai suburban corridor. The project is scheduled to be completed within 36 months from the issuance of the Notice to Proceed.
Earlier in the day, Texmaco also received an order from South Western Railway for undertaking comprehensive annual maintenance and breakdown restoration of overhead equipment (OHE) and power supply installations across the Mysore Division.

The two-year maintenance contract covers 1,046 track kilometres (TKM) of electrification infrastructure and associated electrical assets. The total contract value stands at ₹27.67 crore (inclusive of GST), equivalent to approximately ₹23.45 crore excluding GST.
Under the mandate, Texmaco will carry out routine, preventive and emergency maintenance to ensure reliable and uninterrupted traction power operations. Following the latest order wins, the company’s cumulative OHE and power supply maintenance portfolio has expanded to 3,702.62 TKM across multiple railway divisions and corridors of Indian Railways, including the Bengaluru Division and select sections of the Dedicated Freight Corridor Corporation of India Limited, further strengthening its position in railway electrification services.
