(EE) for just over €5 million (around ₹50 crore), as part of its plan to establish a global Centre of Excellence (CoE) in Bologna, Italy.
The company will acquire 100% ownership of EE, known for “advanced prototyping, innovation in high-performance motorcycles, and deep experience in MotoGP racing,” TVS Motor said in a statement. The deal covers 1 million equity shares at €5.05 per share, subject to the completion of agreed conditions.
Speaking about the acquisition, TVS Motor Chairman Sudarshan Venu said, “With the creativity and racing expertise of Engines Engineering with our engineering and design strengths, we are expanding our ability to deliver premium, connected, and electric vehicles that set new global benchmarks.”
He added, “This Centre of Excellence further augments Norton's capabilities, enabling it to advance its craft of exceptional high-performance motorcycles that not only honour its iconic legacy but also elevate its future ambitions.”
The CoE will function as a concept-to-product innovation hub, integrating Engines Engineering’s expertise with TVS Motor’s global R&D capabilities, strengthening both its premium vehicle pipeline and Norton Motorcycles’ future-ready designs.
