In aluminium, the company recorded its highest-ever quarterly aluminium production at 620 kilotonnes, up 1% year-on-year, and alumina production at 794 kilotonnes, up 57%.

For the nine-month period, aluminium production stood at 1,842 kilotonnes, up 1%, while alumina production rose 32% year-on-year to 2,034 kilotonnes. The performance was supported by the commissioning of Train II at the Lanjigarh refinery and operational efficiencies at the Jharsuguda facility.

Zinc India reported its highest-ever third-quarter mined metal production at 276 kilotonnes, up 4% year-on-year, and refined metal production at 270 kilotonnes, also up 4%.

Refined zinc production increased 8% year-on-year to 221 kilotonnes, while refined lead production declined 11% to 49 kilotonnes. Saleable silver production stood at 158 tonnes. For the nine months, mined metal production rose 2% to 799 kilotonnes.

Zinc International posted mined metal production of 59 kilotonnes in the third quarter, a 28% year-on-year increase, driven mainly by higher throughput at the Gamsberg mine, where production rose 40%.

In oil and gas, average daily gross operated production declined 15% year-on-year to 84.9 thousand barrels of oil equivalent per day, while average daily working interest production stood at 55.9 kboepd. Total oil and gas production for the quarter was 7.8 million barrels of oil equivalent.

Iron ore saleable production increased 3% year-on-year to 1.6 million tonnes in the quarter, while pig iron production rose 6% to 229 kilotonnes. Steel operations saw finished production of 325 kilotonnes, with the company achieving its highest-ever quarterly billet production at 285 kilotonnes, driven by improved operational efficiency.

FACOR reported ore production of 103 kilotonnes, up 54% year-on-year, and ferrochrome production of 24 kilotonnes, up 32%. Copper India reported cathode production of 45 kilotonnes, marking the highest quarterly level in the last seven years.

Power sales rose 40% year-on-year to 4,530 million units, supported by the commissioning of the Athena and Meenakshi power plants. Talwandi Sabo Power Ltd's availability stood at 76% during the quarter.

On Friday (January 2), shares of Vedanta Ltd ended at ₹616.55, up by ₹2.31, or 13.90%, on the BSE.
