Virat Kohli simply went about his business, scored another half-century, and helped the Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) take the pole position in the points table at the Arun Jaitley Stadium on Sunday. After the match against Delhi Capitals (DC), Kohli also shared a fun moment with India teammate KL Rahul, which was in response to the latter's gesture at Chinnaswamy after he played a major role in DC's six-wicket win against RCB earlier this month.

Rahul, who struck an undefeated 93, passionately celebrated at the Chinnaswamy with a "This is my ground" gesture. The 'Virat Kohli Pavilion' at the Arun Jaitley Stadium was the first thing Rahul referred to when Kohli approached him after the game on Sunday. After that, the two Indian teammates gave each other hugs and laughed together.

Fans were also relieved watching the two mega stars share a friendly moment as the duo were seen exchanging words while the contest was underway.

This was RCB's seventh win of the season and gave them a major boost in the intense race for playoffs. Out of the seven, six victories have been away from home, which is the most any IPL team has ever accomplished in a single edition.

Kohli built a vital 119-run partnership with Krunal Pandya and struck a well-balanced 47-ball 51 in RCB's pursuit of 163. As RCB chased down the mark with nine balls remaining, the all-rounder was the star of the show, remaining undefeated at 73 from 47 deliveries with five 4s and four 6s. It was Krunal’s first fifty since 2016.

Meanwhile, Kohli's efforts also helped him grab the Orange Cap. The talismanic batter now has 443 runs from 10 matches at an average of 63.29. Kohli has smashed six half-centuries so far but his strike-rate is below 140, which has often led to criticism.

RCB will next play the Chennai Super Kings at home on Saturday.
