Vodafone Idea was added to the MSCI Global Standard Index in August last year.
According to Nuvama Alternative & Quantitative Research, shares of Vodafone Idea may see inflows worth up to $16 million, once the rebalancing takes place during the close of trading on May 30.
Along with Vodafone Idea, stocks like Cipla, UltraTech Cement, Grasim Industries and Indus Towers will also see an increase in their respective weightage on the standard index.
MSCI announced a rejig to its global standard and India domestic index on Wednesday. Coromandel International and Nykaa will become part of the standard index, while GMR Airports will be added to the domestic index. Sona BLW will be dropped from the domestic index.
There are also 12 additions and 21 deletions to the Smallcap index.

Shares of Vodafone Idea are currently trading near their 52-week low having ended 1.6% lower on Tuesday. The stock is down 37% from its Follow-on Public Offer price of ₹11. Even the conversion of the government's dues into equity, post which, it now owns 49% stake in Vodafone Idea, was done at a price of ₹10 per share.
