WAVES 2025: Nita Ambani credits PM Modi for reigniting India's voice on world stage

Published on 02/05/2025 03:15 PM

The Nita Mukesh Ambani Cultural Centre (NMACC) will present a grand Indian weekend at the iconic Lincoln Centre in New York in September, Nita Ambani announced today.

"This September, with great joy and pride, we are taking Indian culture to the world. The Nita Mukesh Ambani Cultural Centre will proudly present a grand Indian weekend at the iconic Lincoln Centre. We will spotlight the soul of India in all its glory," the JioStar chairperson said at the World Audio Visual & Entertainment Summit (WAVES) 2025 in Mumbai.

Calling India cultural force whose time has come once again, she said, "For centuries, India has gifted the world its wisdom, its beauty, and its soul. Somewhere along the way, our voice softened. But now it is rising again". She was delivering the keynote address on 'Taking Indian Culture to the World'.

Nita Ambani credited Prime Minister Narendra Modi for helping reignite India's voice on the global stage. "We owe deep gratitude to our Prime Minister, whose unwavering vision and leadership have reignited India's voice on the world stage with pride and purpose ... Today, India's spirit is inspiring the world like never before, and young Indians are answering the call," the Reliance Foundation founder-chairperson added.

She said that India's art and artisans, weaves and weavers, songs and dances, fashion and food will all be taken to the global stage.

"Bharat is where it all began. India is the origin of Om, the sound of the birth of our Universe; the birthplace of zero, the beginning of the infinite; the home of Sanskrit, which gave the world language," she said, adding that India is the "very cradle of civilisation".

Nita Ambani also stated that the world is calling upon India and Indian culture in its full grandeur. "Today, empowered by digital technology and strengthened by global partnerships, we stand at a moment unlike any before, a moment where Indian culture can shine at the world stage," she said.

"In doing so, we offer the world a gift - a gift for our children - a world that they will not just inherit but cherish for generations to come. That world is calling on India now. On our stories, soul, spirit, spirituality and sanskriti," she added.

She urged the people to 'rise and ignite the promise of India's future".

"Let us step forward as a torch bearers of our timeless civilisation, walking the path of courage and conviction. Let us carry the force of our eternal values and enduring culture - a force - that brings light where is darkness, that gives hope in fear, that binds humanity together when the world feels broken apart. This is our moment. Let's seize it together with grace and wisdom," Nita Ambani concluded.
