It was a major nostalgia trip for YG Entertainment fans as some of the label's biggest names from the past came together for a heartwarming reunion after BIGBANG’s Daesung wrapped his solo concert in Seoul. The buzz online was real—photos and videos posted by 2NE1’s CL and Dara, along with singer Se7en, had fans gushing over the YG family’s bond. But amid the excitement, there was one glaring absence that fans couldn’t ignore: BLACKPINK.

The family moment followed DAESUNG 2025 ASIA TOUR: D’s WAVE IN SEOUL held on April 26 and 27 at Olympic Hall. The show itself was packed with big moments, including on-stage appearances by BIGBANG’s G-Dragon and Taeyang. The three performed iconic tracks like Home Sweet Home, Bang Bang Bang, and Sober, giving fans a taste of the classic BIGBANG era. Offstage, familiar faces like Kang Seung Yoon and Kim Jin Woo from WINNER, as well as former labelmates CL, Dara, and Se7en, added to the warm YG vibe.

But with all those names showing up, the absence of BLACKPINK members Jisoo, Jennie, Rosé, and Lisa stood out like a sore thumb. The group didn’t attend the concert or appear in any of the behind-the-scenes moments shared online, and fans started speculating. Some believe it’s simply due to their jam-packed schedule. BLACKPINK is expected to make a major comeback in June 2025 with a brand-new album, their first in nearly three years. A world tour is also set to begin in July, so it's possible they’re locked in rehearsals, finalising the music, and prepping logistics.

Others think it might not just be about the schedule. With the group members pursuing solo paths and contract changes with YG over the past year, fans are wondering if there’s more to the story. Some even questioned whether the group still shares the same rapport with other YG artists after such a long time away from the agency spotlight.
