Zomato CEO Deepinder Goyal Rs 52.3 Crore Flat at DLF Camellias: Here’s why it’s now valued nearly 3x higher

Zomato founder and CEO Deepinder Goyal has purchased a nearly 11,000 sq ft ultra-luxury apartment in Gurugram’s DLF Camellias project for Rs 52.3 crore, according to data accessed by real estate analytics firm Zapkey. The apartment, located in DLF Phase 5 on Golf Course Road, spans 10,813 square feet of super built-up area.

An area of 10,813 sq ft give or take with the super build-up was sold in August 2022, after registration in March this year, by DLF Ltd. The enhancement is certainly in the High End area called Golf Course Road, in DLF Phase-5.

According to reports, the price of the flat today is between Rs 125 crore and Rs 150 crore. These prices are on account of the high increase in properties in Gurugram in recent years.

DLF Camellias isn’t just a residential address, it’s practically a statement. Known as one of India’s most opulent housing societies, it has drawn in some of the biggest names in Indian industry and business. From sprawling 4BHK and 5BHK apartments to sky-touching penthouses, every residence here oozes ultra-luxury, with sizes ranging from 7,400 sq ft all the way to nearly 11,000 sq ft. Deepinder Goyal’s latest purchase complete with five dedicated parking spots sits in the heart of DLF Phase-5, Sector 42, one of Gurugram’s most upscale areas.

Launched back in 2014, Camellias has since become shorthand for high-end living in Delhi-NCR. What sets it apart? A blend of exclusive amenities, unmatched privacy, and a prime location that few can access—but many aspire to.

Camellias isn’t just known for its luxury, it’s also made headlines for some not-so-glamorous reasons. Recently, Anmol and Puneet Singh Jaggi, the founders of BluSmart and Gensol Engineering, came under SEBI’s scanner. They’ve been accused of misusing company money, and one of the things they reportedly bought with it? A fancy apartment in the Camellias.

While the main focus is on how the money was used, it also raises an interesting question: What is it about Camellias that makes it so attractive to India’s rich and famous? Is it the grand design, the famous neighbours, or just the quiet pride of being able to say, “I live in the Camellias”?

After the huge success of the Camellias, DLF is aiming even higher with a new luxury project called The Dahlias. Being built in the same area, this new development is expected to bring in around Rs 35,000 crore in revenue.
