Prime Minister Narendra Modi will attend the closing ceremony of the 2nd WHO Global Summit on Traditional Medicine on Friday. He will launch new initiatives, including the My Ayush Integrated Services Portal (MAISP) and Ayush Mark, which will serve as a global quality standard for products and services.

On X, PM Modi wrote about attaching himself to the summit at 4:30 PM today (December 19) and declared the two-day summit's role in moving forward and talking about traditional medicine as a great achievement.

"I will be taking part in the closing ceremony of the Second WHO Global Summit on Traditional Medicine at 4:30 PM today.

The theme of the summit this year has been 'Restoring balance: The science and practice of health and well-being,' and it has already been marked by famous discussions.

According to the PMO's statement, he will also introduce the Ayush Mark, which is to all intents and purposes a worldwide standard in quality assurance for Ayush products and services.

At the event, the Prime Minister will not only launch the technical report from WHO on Yoga training but also the Book "From Roots to Global Reach: 11 Years of Transformation in Ayush".

He will also be the one to cut the ribbon for the new complex of the WHO-South East Asia Regional Office in the capital city, which will also accommodate the WHO India Country Office, a great step in the journey of India's cooperation with the World Health Organization.

Along with that, PM Modi will also honor with the presentation an award that has been given annually for years 2021 to 2025 for promoting yoga, and they are the also great donors who, through yoga, will continue their global outreach.

As quoted by the PMO, “The awards reiterate the timelessness of Yoga as a practice for balance and well-being, and harmony, and thus, it contributes to a more vigorous and healthier New India."

He is going to to enter the Traditional Medicine Discovery Space, an exhibition that highlights the diversity, depth and present day significance of Traditional Medicine knowledge systems coming from India and everywhere else.

The 2nd WHO Global Summit on Traditional Medicine, a collaborative event by the World Health Organisation (WHO) and the Indian Ministry of Ayush, is taking place at Bharat Mandapam between December 17 and 19.

The summit was the platform for intensive discussions among tops leaders from the different continents, policymakers, scientists, and doctors.
