The Swiss brokerage raised its rating on ABB India to 'Buy' from 'Neutral' and sharply increased its price target to ₹8,030 from ₹5,310 earlier. The revised target implies a potential upside of about 26% from Thursday's closing level.

UBS has also added ABB India to its Asia-Pacific key call list, citing an improving risk-reward profile supported by both structural and cyclical growth drivers.

The brokerage pointed to a notable shift in the company's revenue mix toward niche and scalable end markets that are growing at two to four times the pace of real GDP.

According to UBS, the short-cycle outlook is also improving after a recent slowdown, aided by a cascading effect from fresh capital expenditure decisions, supportive budget measures, trade agreements and the potential pickup in base and large-ticket orders.

The brokerage believes the market may have underestimated ABB India's ability to capture a larger total addressable market in emerging niche segments across its motion and electrification businesses.

UBS has revised its estimates for the 2025-2028 period, projecting order, revenue, EBITDA and profit after tax CAGR of 18%, 16%, 20% and 20%, respectively, which are materially higher than consensus expectations.

Among the 31 analysts tracking the stock, 13 have a 'Buy' rating, 10 recommend 'Hold,”' while eight maintain a 'Sell' call.

Shares of ABB India were trading 1.42% higher at ₹6,505 on Friday. The stock has gained about 26% so far this year.Continue ReadingNote To ReadersDisclaimer: The views and investment tips expressed by investment experts on CNBCTV18.com are their own and not that of the website or its management.
