The contract involves the development of a 600-800 tonnes per day mixed solid waste pre-processing plant at Atkoli in Bhiwandi taluka, Maharashtra.

Under the agreement, Antony Lara Enviro Solutions will be responsible for the design, engineering, construction, and commissioning of the facility, along with comprehensive operation and maintenance for a concession period of 10 years. The scope also includes setting up a material recovery facility for segregation and processing of mixed municipal waste.

The contract carries an estimated value of about ₹329.45 crore over a 10-year concession period, while the project’s capital expenditure of nearly ₹67 crore will be reimbursed by TMC on achieving stipulated milestones.

Commenting on the development, Jose Jacob, Chairman and Managing Director of Antony Waste Handling Cell Ltd, said the project marks a key step in expanding the company’s long-term municipal infrastructure portfolio. He added that the contract strengthens the company’s relationship with the Thane municipal authority and enhances long-term revenue visibility, in line with its strategy of sustainable value creation.

Last week, the company said its material subsidiary, AG Enviro Infra Projects Pvt Ltd, secured two municipal solid waste collection and transportation contracts from the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation worth a combined ₹1,330 crore. The seven-year contracts involve collection and transportation of waste from multiple Mumbai wards and were awarded to a consortium led by AG Enviro Infra Projects with a 51% stake.

Shares of Antony Waste Handling Cell Ltd ended lower on Monday, December 22, by 3.86% at ₹496 on the NSE.
