On April 29, the fifth death anniversary of the late Irrfan Khan, his son Babil Khan paid a heartfelt tribute by sharing a nostalgic childhood photo with his father.
Alongside the picture, Babil penned an emotional poem, capturing his love and longing for the legendary actor. "With you, without you. Life goes on, With me, without me. Soon I’ll be there. With you, not without you. And we will run together, and fly. Drink from waterfalls, pink not blue. I will hug you so tight, and I will cry, Then we’ll laugh, just like we used to. I miss you."
Further talking about his father, Babil said in a statement, “Baba walked this earth, swam the waters, marched into battles that were thrown at him regardless of his wishes. He was a warrior with a heavy foot that transformed into a prophet with steps so light he could walk on air."
He reflected on how the late Irrfan Khan's unforgettable performance continues to resonate with audiences. “All of this to bring to the audience a performance that stayed in their hearts. One of those performances: Piku. Now re-releasing. Brought to you with love," Babil stated as Piku starring Irrfan along with Amitabh Bachchan and Deepika Padukone is set to re-release on May 9, 2025 to mark the 10th anniversary of the film.
