DC vs KKR Highlights, IPL 2025: Defending champions Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) kept their playoffs hopes alive with a 14-run victory against Delhi Capitals (DC) at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi on Tuesday. Chasing a 205-run target, DC were restricted to 190/9 as KKR registered their fourth win in this edition. This was the third loss and second consecutive defeat for DC in four games at home this season.
Here are the top highlights from the IPL encounter between Delhi Capitals and Kolkata Knight Riders...
Another failure for Venkatesh Iyer

Venkatesh Iyer, KKR's most expensive purchase in the mega auction, has been a huge letdown this season. The left-hander barely has much to show for in the ongoing season, except for a half-century. Iyer miseries continued against DC as he fell to Axar Patel after scoring just 7 runs.
Raghuvanshi and Rinku come good
With the failure of Iyer, the onus fell on other KKR batters to provide impetus to the total. And the uncapped young Indian Angkrish Raghuvanshi rose to the occasion for the defending champions. Raghuvanshi hit 2 sixes and 3 fours in his 44-run knock that came off 32 balls. Rinku Singh too chipped in with a 25-ball 36 with the help of a six and 3 fours. The duo combined together to add 61 runs for the fourth wicket, preventing Delhi from taking any control in the match after three quick blows.
Axar, Faf lead from the front

With the ball, Axar Patel took 2/27 but an injury forced the DC skipper to leave the field midway and later he was seen sitting with his left hand taped up. Grimacing in pain while batting, Axar smashed 3 sixes and 4 fours in his whirlwind knock of 43 runs that came off just 23 balls to set up the DC run chase.
In Axar’s absence, it was Faf du Plessis who was marshalling the DC troops during the KKR innings. And Faf played his part with the bat as well by hitting a 45-ball 62 with the help of 2 sixes and 7 fours.
Narine changes the course of the match

Sunil Narine conceded 19 runs off his first 2 overs without a wicket. And after KKR skipper Ajinkya Rahane left the field with an injured finger, Narine was asked to lead the side with vice-captain Venkatesh Iyer subbed out.
DC were 130/3 when Narine came back to bowl his second spell and changed the course of the match. Narine dismissed Axar and Tristan Stubbs in his third over and in the following over, got rid of Du Plessis to rattle the DC run chase. He finished with figures of 3/29 from his 4 fours.
Varun Chakaravarthy follows Narine
Narine’s spin twin Varun Chakaravarthy had conceded 31 runs off his 3 overs without taking a wicket. DC were 159/6 when Narine brought in Chakaravarthy to bowl his last over. Chakaravarthy dismissed Ashutosh Sharma and Mitchell Starc off successive deliveries to knock the wind out of the DC run chase.
