He said the company's earnings before interest, tax, depreciation and amortisation (EBITDA)/tonne will be approximately ₹19,000 to ₹20,000 per tonne in FY27.

Natarajan said the company's volumes were flat in the first nine months of the financial year 2026 and the company is looking to have some volume growth on a full-year basis.

The company has been facing challenges in Europe for the past few years, he said.

Meanwhile, specialty care benefited in the third quarter (with 35% volume) due to some projects maturing, he said.

Natarajan told CNBC-TV18 that the company is expecting an improvement in North America over the next few quarters. It is awaiting the details of the India-US trade. The US tariff reduction will aid the export growth, he said.

He said the struggle in the Africa, Middle East, Turkey (AMET) market continues. Egypt and Turkey are battling significant currency depreciation which has impacted the consumption in the market.

Galaxy Surfactants reported an 8.7% decline in its third quarter net profit to ₹59 crore from ₹64.6 crore in the previous year.

Its revenue increased 27.6% to ₹1,329.5 crore from ₹1,041.7 crore in the previous year.

Its earnings before interest, tax, depreciation and amortisation (EBITDA) increased 13.4% to ₹119.9 crore in the third quarter from ₹105.7 crore in the previous year.

The company's margin contracted marginally to 9% from 10.1% in the year-ago period.

Shares of Galaxy Surfactants were trading 6% up at ₹1,995.7 apiece around 9.35 am on Tuesday. The stock has declined 11% in the past six months.
