GST collections increase 21% MoM to Rs 2.37 lakh crore in April

The government's gross Goods and Services (GST) collections stood at Rs 2.37 lakh crore in April 2025, an increase of 20.7 per cent month-on-month, official data showed on Thursday, May 1.

The amount of money collected in the form of cess stood at Rs 13,451 crore in April.

Out of the overall gross collections, central GST (CGST) collections were recorded at Rs 48,634 crore, while state GST (SGST) collections were at Rs 59,372 crore and integrated GST collections (IGST) at Rs 1.15 lakh crore.
