Ather Scooter Price Hike: Electric scooter manufacturer Ather Energy on Monday, December 22, announced that the prices of all its scooters will be increased from next year, i.e. 2026. Effective from January 1, the prices of Ather scooters will increase by up to Rs 3,000.
The company attributed the price hike to rising raw material prices, an increase in foreign exchange rates and an increase in global prices of critical electronic components. It said that the increase in these input costs has had a direct impact on manufacturing costs, due to which prices have had to be increased to compensate for it.
For customers who are currently planning to buy an Ather scooter, the month of December 2025 can be beneficial as the company is running the 'Electric December' offer. Under this offer, benefits up to Rs 20,000 are being given in selected cities.

Ather Energy's portfolio includes the 450 series performance scooters and the Rizta family of scooters.
The Ather 450 series comes with advanced features like Multi-Mode Traction Control, MagicTwist, Google Maps Navigation, WhatsApp on dashboard, call and music controls.
The Ather Rizta, the company's first family scooter, recently crossed the 200,000 unit sales mark. It features 56 liters of storage capacity, a wide seat, a large footrest, and safety features like SkidControl, Fall Safe, and ESS.
Last week, JSW MG Motor India also announced a price hike across all its products. Effective January 1, this is a marginal price increase of up to a maximum of 2 per cent; however, the increase in the rates will vary as per model and variant, the automobile manufacturer said.

The price hike was announced two weeks after the company released year-on-year wholesale sales growth figures. In the report, MG Motor India announced that it achieved a 32 per cent year-on-year (YTD) wholesales growth during January-November 2025, compared to a lower growth in the same period of CY 2024.
